INAUDITA 2015
International Composition Master Class
Master class to take place from 20 to 27 of June 2015 in Barga, Tuscany, Italy.

PARTICIPANTS
10 candidates will be selected, and the works they create and prepare before and during the master class will be performed by the Ensemble MULTILATERALE of Paris, Opera Barga Festival on 26 and 27 June.
Candidates must apply by the 10th of March by email providing the following:

Candidates should also indicate their preference for the instrumentation they wish to work on during the master class out of the instruments indicated below.
APPLICATION FEE

Applications that do not provide a receipt of the application fee shall not be considered for selection.
Application deadline is March 10th.
The selection will be made by the Inaudita Project Selection Committee (comprising the artistic director of the Opera Barga Festival, the Ensemble Multilaterale and the two
lecturing composers).

Applications close on 10th March 2015
By the 20th of March 2015 the committee shall select 10 candidates who will be required to write a piece lasting no longer than 10 minutes.

The 10 NEW COMPOSITIONS shall be worked on during the course held in Barga from the 20th to the 27th of June 2015 and will be performed in two concerts, on 26
and 27 June 2015.

COMMISSION OF NEW WORKS
1. In addition to the further possible performances of the works presented in Barga, the ensemble MULTILATERALE from Paris, will commission a work by one of the
selected composers (fee to be decided) to be performed in its own concert season or in other seasons.
2. AUSER MUSIC shall commission a work to be performed in one of its upcoming productions with an instrumentation to be agreed with the selected composer, who will
be offered free board and lodging in Pisa during the production and performance period.
COURSE FEES
The course fee amounts to 350 euro (150 euro for auditors) to be paid in two instalments. The first 200 euro by the 30th of March or no later than 10 days after having received notification of selection. The fee balance of 150 euro must be paid by the 2nd of June, when the new work scores are to be delivered.
The festival shall provide accommodation in double and triple rooms at a cost of € 20 – €25 + VAT per night.
All participants shall have at least one individual lesson with each of the lecturers in addition to the collective classes and rehearsals with the ensemble.

Are there any scholarships available
No.
May one find one's own accommodation?
The selected candidates may select their own accommodation if they prefer in Barga or nearby. The OperaBarga website – www.operabarga.it has a list of accommodation. For more information contact: operabarga@gmail.com
If I decide not to take part or I'm not selected after having paid my €20 application fee, will I get my application fee back?
No, the fee covers the projects' secretarial costs.
Are there any facilitations for board?
Yes, there are many restaurants and bars serving excellent snacks in Barga which provide a discount for course participants and there is also the possibility of dining at the Opera Barga dining all at a cost of €10 per meal, with the other Festival artists.
How do I get to Barga?
Barga can be reached by train, at the Barga-Gallicano station on the Pisa – Lucca Aulla line. Train timetables can be found on the website: www.trenitalia.com

There is plenty of free parking in Barga.
